Now it's my time to put some things straight. Cyril gives no explanation at all about Void Sales being a rip off, so I'll give you all the details ! It all started September 2004 when I just quit Void Sales and contacted Cyril for a possible job opening. He replied to say that Drakkar was looking for someone (basically to be webmaster and graphic person). After some months of discussion I decided to go to Nimes (headoffice of Drakkar) to meet Cyril in person and see how Drakkar works. (november 2004) Prior to my visit, I asked Cyril via email for the Vat number of Drakkar, so I could check if that was ok to begin with.. I always got the reply that they didn't had it in front of them and were going to send it next time.. After the trip I came back to my home, to organise my move.. At the end of December 2004 I got word from Stephanie (employee at Drakkar) that the webhost was going to quit very soon, so Drakkar would come without a website. They asked me for help. I helped them out by buying webspace at a professional company and made them a easy to navigate website with fast message board. For this they offered me ( I did not ask anything) 100euro for the webspace, and 100euro for the work. I gladly accepted and was happy to help them out. In January 2005 there wasn't much of communication since I went on a holiday. After that all the mess kinda started. When I was in Nimes (nov '04), Cyril told me he would pay my apartment in when I would arrive in Nimes to go work for Drakkar for the first week (apart from my wage) , cause I would not have a place to stay the first week(s) In februari 2005 Cyril told me via Email that it would be difficult to do that, but he would give me an advance on my wage. Also he found me an apartment, that would cost me 450euro each month !!! An apartment for one person. So 450euro is very much I think, certainly when you know my wage would be 900euro per month. I asked if the wage could be more, because I earn almost as much with a parttime job in my country. Cyril offered me to work more then 35hours a week (as stated in the contract), then he would give me more money ‘under the table' … talking about illegal business. Also that time I requested a contract , so I could get that checked at Belgian Authority.. Cyril promised me to send it. The contract I needed (or example of a contract) was just to proof Belgian authority that I found another job when I would quit my current job. After a few weeks I got the contract that you can see
personally at this link : (730KB but worth looking at) You have to know these details about the contract : - The lawyer made it, and Cyril signed it with his signature. To me, the details about the job and Cyril's signature look pretty much as the same handwriting.. doesn't it ?! Also, if it's made by their lawyer, how come the lawyer's office or name or signature isn't on the paper !!!??!! It even doesn't have the time I would be working there (6 months with the first contract). Further discussion went on about the contract via email.. Important details like , that I would get 250euro from french authority because I'm a foreign guy working in france .. This I got to know after 6 months of emailing. Cyril offered me to go to Nimes and get the contract done + at the same time work a few days for Drakkar without contract and get 50euro per day… ( talking about illegal business, again) Telling him that I still had to work at my current job didn't have much point, he kept repeating this offer.. but it was just not possible for me. Why didn't he tell me this when I first visited Nimes in November 2004, then there would be no problem at all ?!? So I would not do the job, that's quite clear now. Cyril asked me to stay the webmaster which I wanted to do without a problem. But offcourse I wanted to have some more payment for making the website, cause I really spent much time on that making it the best possible way. Cyril offered me an extra 100euro which was complete ridiculous.. I had an extra payment of 300euro in mind for the website / forum / graphic designs. Cyril refused to pay that ‘much' money for such a decent website and requested the ftp login for the drakkar webspace. Cyril started threatening that he would start a lawsuit to get his login things. But if he uses the same lawyer as the one that made the ‘contract', no need to get scared of this right ?! ;) After a lot of arguing I gave the ftp login, Cyril promised me to pay 100euro (which I was gladly to accept, to end this sombre affaire) via paypall. One email after this news, I heard from Cyril that his Paypall account all of the sudden was empty. (an empty paypall account for such a big label ?!) So I replied that he should send me proof of payment within a week. No reply for two weeks after that.. So that's when I decided to change the ftp login again and take the entire website offline. Ok, this looks like a long story and actually it is.. and I can guarantee that you won't experience something like this. If you think that I'm making this up.. well then you're wrong, cause I have this all on Email. Cyril might deny everything and play the victim that he lost money and stuff.. But after all the lies and threats I just wanted to get my money and get this affaire done. The only thing Drakkar is trusting on is it's 11 year of experience in the underground. I've seen their way of work, and they still have a lot to learn.. |
