- Hails LUCIFUGUM!
At first speak about your new album "The supreme art of genocide".
The titles of the last two albums "Vector 33" and "…and
the wheel keeps crunching" were not so easy to understand in
its meaning, the new one seems to have a simpler message. What's behind
that new album?
Pathology and fanaticism
- that was always inherent in LUCIFUGUM: the pathological impossibility
to breathe something that is not Black and fanatical devotion to
this condition of Spirit. "The Supreme Art of Genocide"
is an ideal refraction of rays which will cripple the strong or
healthy, and kill weak (here we mean simply humans), for possessed
it should be the fresh blood: for themselves and against others.
The might of harsh lynching and aesthetics of the refined, slow
sadism in united cocoon of our sick mind.
"…and the Wheel keeps crunching…" is not a new album,
this Wolf fang was pierced in 2001 l.t. and in 2005 l.t. was re-edited
by Russian label Oskorei Music as digi cd + new song.
- How
would you describe the musically development of LUCIFUGUM during the
last years? Earlier the songs had more symphonic parts and melodies
through the using of many keyboards, today it's more raw and brutal,
in the vein of early Black Metal bands like DARKTHRONE. Why have you
changed that, do you want your music becoming more hateful? Is your
hate growing up through the last years?
This is a stereotype
and erroneous opinion, that so-called keyboard black metal can't be
hateful. Earlier and now there are many groups which think they play
"true and evil black metal", though actually it is a simply
some kind of rollicking punk. It is necessary to remember that majority
of the listeners are normal people with standard perception and understanding
of music as some kind of force which is capable to fill and devastate.
"Cool guitar riffs and thundering drums, high/low/mid vocal"
- that is their primitive understanding. Is it right in this case
to rely that they should know what really evil music should be? Besides,
the lyrics of many so-called black metal groups will show the all
set of shit which humans have dragged with themselves into Black Metal
for own comfort: admiration of the nature, patriotism and tons of
ketchup instead of blood. We are not under any influences, being concentrated
only on ourselves we don't feel the necessity to surprise the listener.
Each our Poison is a stinking exhalation that reminds that we are
still alive and capable to envenom. With keyboards or without - let
it be the problem for those who try to make an impression on others.
We are not at the olympic games, and we prefer to follow the own Path,
but not to feverishly seek after the challenge cup "the most
evil".
- You
always add that "LUCIFUGUM is the black force of two unhumans".
Why do you think that you are not humans? I think you a part of the
so called "humanity", too.
What do you wish to
hear now? The things that almost all will say? That they are actually
normal people and their corpse - painted faces are only artistic attributes?
That fact that we cross the street on the traffic lights or visit
the post office doesn't mean that we are the members of society. Yes,
we are also the owners of fragile human skeletons, and we understand
that just the human factor is capable to keep balance and relative
calmness on this planet. Probably, even the main thing that characterizes
those who occupy this planet is an ability to survive. But we are
not going to survive at the any cost, caring only about a daily bread
and the future pension. We don't prepare for war only because we are
always in aggressive condition, we don't search for calmness only
because it is impossible. We are natural in our scornful attitude
to worms which consider that "human - it sounds proudly".
The quantity of envious worms with usual human brains itself characterizes
us as hermits which defiantly isolate themselves from human stench.
- You
now have released 11 albums… are there still some things that you
haven't said until now? Do you still have something new that you need
to create with LUCIFUGUM?
We do not drag behind
ourselves a tribune for mass speeches; we have no plans of destruction
of the universe. We are the adults and we firmly know who we are.
Since we don't aspire to surprise ourselves or the listener, we will
not begin to avoid the recurrences if the condition inside or outside
us remains constant. Absolutely definitely: what we do, we do sincerely
and with the responsibility before ourselves, be it a deliberate step
or sudden impulse.
- The lyrics are all
written in your native-language, don't you think that your art would
get a better propaganda-effect if you put an English-translation into
the booklet? Which ritualistic backgrounds can we find inside the
lyrics of LUCIFUGUM?
You mean we should be
closer to people to be clearer for them? Everyone who will be objective,
having familiarized with my lyrics will agree that it is really original
and practically untranslatable into other language: absolute discomfort
for many defective and the psychological weapon for cynical souls
which will dare to accept it.
- On
the home-page of Propaganda you have added many different propaganda-speeches,
let's talk about them… "If I die now - who will kill the others
than". Strong hate against the humanity would mean self-hate,
too. And this would lead to suicide; shall this statement be an apology
for why you don't commit suicide? Do you want to take others with
you if you are going to leave this world?
Irrelevant question
concerning to us. There is nothing similar to suffering, depression
or suicide impulses in LUCIFUGUM's concept. Though these subjects
are popular in Black Metal now, many from these "poisoned by
life" will safely live their long boring lives. We are here not
for demonstration of "heart wounds", we will continue to
lynch while forces will suffice or till we will not choke with own
marasmus. Even if hatred would be an expensive thing, we would prefer
to buy it to clear own territory, but in our certain case such condition
of spirit is natural, consequently - constant.
- "We
give to nobody so called "support" and don't wait nothing
reciprocal"… I think you support many people by selling them
cheap stuff, releasing other bands or sending promos to different
persons (for example me)…
All what we do, we do
only for ourselves, though sometimes it can become useful for someone
else. The prices in our catalogue are low only because we are not
the speculators, nothing more. At least now we represent own interests
and sending of promos is caused by this circumstance. The word "support",
so popular in Underground, often is an empty sound, because in many
cases it is simply the part of etiquette. Many times we got gratitude
"for support" though we didn't do something especial for
someone another to consider this gratitude relevant. Moreover, a collecting
of "thanx lists" is a part of exclusively human factor which
can influence negatively, since it obliges.
- Why were you earlier
never a part of the line-up which was stated inside the booklets?
I think it could not be that no one of the original line-up is still
inside LUCIFUGUM… What happened to Ball-A-Myth and Faunus? I heard
rumours that Baal-A-Myth was killed?!
Probably, your visiting
of PROPAGANDA's site was very selective, and once again I will have
to explain that namely I, Khlyst, am a founder of the band and its
leader during all these years. The kind of my ambitions was different
from the wishes of Bal-a-Myth and Faunus which simply wanted to see
LUCIFUGUM the successful Black Metal band. Perhaps, the worthy wish
for musicians which were devoted to their deed for some time, but
and then, and now LUCIFUGUM is not the temporary hobby for me, but
the single possibility to breathe among this stinking life.
Bal-a-Myth has died in the sleep during the rehabilitation's period.
I was absent at his funeral and has appeared near his grave just once
to put disc "…and the Wheel keeps crunching…" since he didn't
live till its output. Perhaps, other hobbies have conquered Faunus,
and he has betrayed LUCIFUGUM actually, when shortly before the recording
of "Stigma Egoism " he cowardly and without motivation has
refused in the further participation in band. As far as I know he
lives the normal human life now with all its attributes: a child,
job and nostalgia about the past.
When fanatic Satanist Stabaath became the part of the band I have
considered it necessary to specify the current line-up to stop the
ridiculous rumours spreading by teenagers, which consider that Black
Metal is a chatter at forums. Also white ns cockroaches try to slander
us, ridiculously believing, that their infirm attempts can demoralize
us.
- I
often thought about the title "Vector 33"… What's behind
that name?
The trajectory of lynching,
extreme point, the age of the most known bastard, place of the accumulation
of Black energy, a hole in a head… You can continue the list if you
think rightly.
- Can
you tell me the story of the once existing connection between LUCIFUGUM
and NOKTURNAL MORTUM? What do you think about that band nowadays?
Earlier Varggoth has a guest-appearance on your creations ("Bringing
by rain" and others) and you also have released split-stuff together,
by the way, you have thanked them in the booklet of "On the sortilage
of christianity" for their help. Later NOKTURNAL MORTUM started
to combine their music with NS-ideas. What do you think why they have
done that? In my opinion it is stupid and senseless to promote the
white race.
Varggoth has dedicated
to me one of Nokturnal mortum's albums. And what, it should become
for me a subject of any special pride? I heard that in new album of
Nokturnal mortum Bal-a-Myth have been ranked to "saints ",
let it be on conscience of Varggoth, which possibly was guided by
the widespread proverb "do not judge badly about deceased",
since Bal-a-Myth was not imbued with the morals of Varggoth and did
not share his belief at all. LUCIFUGUM continues to remain Black Metal
band and we are against any identification with Nokturnal mortum.
What is white race? Bunching ridiculous humans, yelling till hoarseness
that they are the persons? Or defective cattle trying to show own
superiority, using cunning (read jewish) tricks?
The humanists who have settled in Black Metal, declare themselves
as defenders of race only because they stay in full confidence that
they will not have this possibility - to protect. Yes, and among those
who consider themselves Satanists there are very few who is ready
for the murder in a peace time. The common sense wins almost always.
The problem of so-called Black Metal scene is that there is too much
sensible here and too many personal interests.
- You
always make a difference between LUCIFUGUM and the NS-ideas of many
other bands, but for the layout of "and the wheel keeps crunching"
you have used many symbols which are very similar to swastikas!? What
was the reason for using this symbols and what's their meaning?
The symbol which has
been used in booklets of albums "…and the Wheel keeps crunching…"
and "On hooks to pieces!" is a profanation of known for
all swastika. A Wheel of Death whose destination is to rip up the
mouldering and to cut off the alien. Several thousands flyers have
been made with a special mention that Ulcer "…and the Wheel keeps
crunching…" is a spittle into a paper snout of ns trend, but,
in spite of this, so-called ideologists from ns herd continued to
spread the weapon against themselves.
- If
you look back now through all the years of LUCIFUGUM's existence,
do you see any time which maybe was the most important point in the
history of your horde?!
Fresh blood is valuable
when it is necessary. And any events had the force when they burned.
Now LUCIFUGUM is not simply Black Metal band, it is Satanic family
whose purpose is a creation of Unholy Art. Surely, important is possibility
to depend on ourselves only, but not from the situation at "black
metal market", mood of labels and other shit.
- The
name LUCIFUGUM points on a satanic ideology and inside the video which
is on your new album you use many different anti-christian and satanic
symbols (like burning pentagram…). How would you explain your views
and satanic ideology?
Cultivation of Evil
as a way of cutting off all human since it's alien. Lynching of slave
behaviour and mass thinking. We don't fight for the right to freely
state own ideas, that fact that we continue to live testifies that
we act in the consensus with laws of own Ego, which will not accept
another's tenets.
- Now
after the new album, what are your future plans with Propaganda and
LUCIFUGUM?
Perhaps, when this interview
be published, we will already envenom the minds by spreading of tape
version of new LUTOMYSL's opus "Catharsis", of single known
to us band in Ukraina who rightly understands the essence of Black
Metal as negative Art.
If we'll be able to breathe, sooner or later we will splash out a
new Poison - "Involtation".
